Work with people whose values align with yours — and if there’s friction early on, cut it off before it engulfs you. You pave your own destiny.”

“I like to keep my mind active within 'liminal spaces' — uncertain transitions where I don’t dwell on conflict. I study Italian for 30 minutes and read the encyclopedia for another 30 to stay educated. I also do 10-minute morning stretches. Keeping the mind focused keeps stress from taking over.”

Vanessa Gordon:
“Let relationships build organically and never force anything. Check in regularly, be present, and communicate openly. I don’t love the word ‘boundaries’—it feels cold—but they are important. Also, attend industry meetups, fundraisers, and galas for causes that resonate with you.”
